Decide whether it is a material swatch, print proof, fit sample or packed sample. Each answers a different question and may not represent every future variant.
Link the sample to a written brief
Record the product name, dimensions, material, artwork revision or drawing, finish and packing. Retain a reference and approved differences.
Test the actual application
Check folded logo presentation, cup and lid fit, or hardware installation as relevant. Agree the method and acceptance criteria for the chosen item.
Review changes before release
A change in material, drawing, print, finish or packing can require new approval. Keep the current approved reference linked to the purchase order.
